B&B Rant: Should Dylan Quit Forrester Creations After Electra’s Privilege-Fueled Threat?
At this point, maybe Dylan needs to tell Forrester Creations goodbye and take her talents somewhere else. Because working around Electra is starting to look less like a job and more like a daily appointment to be reminded who has the famous last name.
B&B Rant: Should Dylan Quit Forrester Creations After Electra’s Privilege-Fueled Threat?
Electra completely unleashed on Dylan, and that whole “I am Electra Forrester. If I want it, you’re gone” attitude was not a good look. Girl, we get it. Your name is on the building. But does that mean Electra gets to threaten Dylan’s livelihood because Dylan made a play for Will (Crew Morrow)?
Electra even suggests Dylan should “do the right thing” and leave Forrester Creations. Easy for her to say! Dylan has actually struggled financially and knows what it means to worry about keeping a roof over her head. Walking away from a paycheck isn't some minor inconvenience for her. And then Electra reminds Dylan that she’d supposedly be nowhere without her.
Seriously?
Helping someone during a difficult time doesn't mean you get to hold it over their head forever. Friendship shouldn't come with an invoice.
Maybe Dylan should call Electra's bluff. Quit FC.
Let Electra keep the Forrester name, the office, and all that privilege.
Dylan could head over to Il Giardino, where Deacon (Sean Kanan)could certainly use another employee. She could even pick up shifts at The Bikini Bar. Either option would give Dylan something she desperately needs right now: independence from Electra and the Forresters. And wouldn't it be satisfying if Dylan actually started thriving after leaving FC?
Imagine Electra expecting Dylan to fall apart without her, only to discover Dylan is doing perfectly fine on her own. Sometimes the best response to “You'd be nowhere without me” is walking away and proving exactly how wrong that person is.
