The network has officially renewed its newest soap sensation for two additional seasons, locking in Seasons 3 and 4. The announcement, made on April 15th, signals overwhelming confidence in the series just over a year after its debut. The groundbreaking sudser first premiered on February 24, 2025, and has quickly built a loyal fanbase while carving out a distinct identity in the daytime landscape.
Set in a leafy Maryland suburb just outside Washington, D.C., Beyond The Gates centers on an elite gated community located in one of the most affluent African American counties in the United States. At the heart of the story are the Duprees, a powerful, multi-generational family whose influence, legacy, and status have earned them the reputation of “Black royalty.” But behind the pristine gates, winding tree-lined streets, and luxurious mansions lies a world far from perfect. Hidden beneath the surface are explosive secrets, betrayals, and scandals waiting to be uncovered — not just by those within the community, but by outsiders watching closely from beyond its borders.
From love and ambition to rivalry and deception, the series explores the lives of those who have “made it” — and those still fighting to claim their place.
The series was created by acclaimed writer Michele Val Jean, who also serves as head writer. Behind the scenes, a powerhouse team of executive producers — including Val Jean, Sheila Ducksworth, Julie Carruthers, Tracey Thomson, Leon W.
