Two years after stepping into the role of Gabi Hernandez DiMera, Cherie Jimenez is celebrating the milestone with a heartfelt message to fans, her castmates, and the Days of Our Lives team. Jimenez made her debut as Gabi in June 2024, taking over the iconic role, and has continued portraying the fiery Salem favorite ever since.

On Instagram, the actress shared just how much playing Gabi has meant to her.
"I LOVE playing Gabi. She's given me so much already. She's taught me the grace to be patient with myself, the confidence to love myself as I am, the importance of forgiveness, and the courage to use my voice and speak up for myself."
Jimenez also reflected on what she hopes she's brought to the character.
"I hope I've given Gabi redemption, the love of a mother & her family, a softness, and a vulnerability that only makes her stronger."
She went on to thank executive producer Ken Corday, the cast, crew, directors, producers, and writers for making her experience on the long-running Peacock soap so meaningful.

The actress also expressed her appreciation for fans who embraced her version of Gabi despite the challenges that often come with taking over an established role.

Ending her tribute on an optimistic note, Jimenez promised fans she's far from finished.
"I promise to continue pouring my heart and soul into Gabi every single day... Two years down... I am just beginning."
Her message comes as Gabi remains at the center of several major storylines in Salem, with plenty more drama still ahead.
