Christine and Danny fans, the results are finally in! Thanks to an exclusive People feature, The Young and the Restless viewers were given the chance back in September, by the show, to vote on which wedding dress Christine “Cricket” Blair (Lauralee Bell) should wear when she walks down the aisle for her second wedding to Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian).
Lauralee Bell, who has portrayed Christine for more than four decades, opened up about how meaningful this fan-driven moment truly is.
“Some have been watching a majority of their lives,” Bell says. “I thought it would be so nice to have fans be involved one step further by being part of it.”
Bell and Y&R costume designer Mandi Line both emphasized how genuine the voting process was and how thrilled they were to see viewers take part in shaping this nostalgic chapter.
Line adds, “Lauralee was adamant that the voting process be legit — and it was. We appreciate our fans and each of their voices mattered to us.”
