Soap fans are about to witness a major crossover moment! Lauren Koslow, best known for playing the fiery Kate Roberts Brady on Days of Our Lives, is heading back to her roots in Genoa City.

Days Star Lauren Koslow Returning To The Young and the Restless As Jill — Temporarily!

According to TV Insider, Koslow will temporarily step into the role of Jill Abbott on The Young and the Restless due to a scheduling conflict involving longtime Jill portrayer Jess Walton. Walton, who resides in Oregon, reportedly could not travel to Los Angeles for an upcoming storyline, prompting Y&R to bring in a familiar face with deep ties to the soap’s history.

Longtime fans may remember that Koslow first appeared on Y&R back in January 1984 as Lindsey Wells, the ex-wife of Jack Abbott. Now, more than four decades later, she’s returning in an entirely new capacity!

“We’re extremely grateful to Lauren Koslow for returning to her Y&R roots and temporarily stepping into the role of Jill,” executive producer Sally McDonald and head writer Josh Griffith shared in a joint statement to TV Insider.

Thankfully for Days fans, this temporary Y&R stint will not impact Koslow’s role in Salem. A spokesperson for Days of Our Lives confirmed that the actress continues filming regularly for the Peacock soap. “DAYS is happy to be able to share Lauren with Y&R, and this does not affect her status with the show in any way,” the spokesperson stated.

Koslow’s first appearance as Jill is set to air Thursday, June 25 — and soap fans are already buzzing about seeing the veteran actress shake things up in Genoa City!
