Daytime icon Roger Howarth is heading to Genoa City!
Daytime Veteran Roger Howarth Joins The Young And The Restless
According to Deadline, the Emmy-winning actor has been cast on The Young and the Restless. While details about his character and storyline remain under wraps, Howarth will begin taping in mid-September, with his on-screen debut expected later this year.
Howarth is no stranger to daytime television. He first captured viewers’ attention as the unforgettable Todd Manning on One Life to Live, a role he played on and off between 1992–2003 and again from 2001–2010. In 2003, he transitioned to CBS’ As the World Turns, where he portrayed Paul Ryan until the show’s finale in 2010.
In May 2011, Howarth reprised his role as Todd Manning on OLTL until the soap’s cancellation in January 2012. Soon after, he joined General Hospital in 2012, taking over the role of Franco before eventually being recast as Dr. Austin Gatlin-Holt, a part he played from May 21, 2021, until November 17, 2023.
Over the course of his career, Howarth has earned recognition for his compelling performances, including a Daytime Emmy Award in 1994 for his work on One Life to Live.
With his return to CBS daytime, longtime fans are eager to see what kind of impact Howarth will make on The Young and the Restless.
