Eileen Davidson is going to be taking it easy for the next several weeks after a cold plunge ended in a very painful accident.

The Young and the Restless and Days of Our Lives favorite revealed on Instagram that she slipped while getting out of a cold plunge and fractured her patella, otherwise known as the kneecap.
“I sure won't be making those moves anytime soon!” Davidson joked while sharing the unfortunate news with her followers.
Unfortunately, this wasn't the kind of injury she could simply walk off. Davidson revealed that she underwent surgery and expects to be “down for the count for quite a few weeks” while she recovers.
She also made sure to thank the EMTs who came to her aid, along with the medical team at Los Robles Regional Medical Center for taking care of her.
It's certainly not how Davidson expected her cold plunge to end. One minute you're doing something that's supposed to make you feel refreshed, and the next you're looking at surgery and weeks of recovery.
For longtime soap fans, Davidson needs little introduction. She is beloved for playing Ashley Abbott on The Young and the Restless and has also made quite the impression on Days of Our Lives through her unforgettable collection of characters, most notably Kristen DiMera.
For now, however, Davidson's biggest storyline is happening off-screen: resting, recovering, and giving that knee plenty of time to heal.
Here's wishing Eileen Davidson a smooth recovery—and perhaps a much less eventful exit from the cold plunge the next time around!
