Acclaimed actress Eva LaRue is sharing her most personal and powerful story yet. Her two-part documentary, “My Nightmare Stalker: The Eva LaRue Story,” premieres November 13 on Paramount+ — and it’s a story that will leave you both heartbroken and inspired.
“This chapter in my life is the most personal work I’ve ever done,” Eva writes. “It’s the story of survival, transparency, and the courage we find when we have no other choice but to keep going.”
For more than a decade, Eva and her daughter lived through an unimaginable nightmare — a relentless stalker who sent anonymous letters, death threats, and harassment that shadowed every part of their lives. Every sound, every shadow, became a chilling reminder of danger.
Ironically, during this terrifying time, Eva was portraying a DNA detective on CSI: Miami, solving crimes on screen while the FBI struggled for 12 years to find the man tormenting her in real life.
When justice finally came, it was through groundbreaking Forensic Genealogy — a revolutionary DNA-based investigative technique that helped identify the suspect. As Eva shares,
“Their persistence didn’t just solve my case; it created a path for solving others once thought impossible.”
Now, in “My Nightmare Stalker,” Eva bravely revisits that dark chapter, offering a story of resilience, awareness, and hope. It’s not just about survival — it’s about reclaiming power and turning pain into purpose.
“Sharing the story has been raw, painful, and deeply personal,” Eva says. “But I believe it matters. My hope is that by shining a light on this experience, others will find strength, awareness, and perhaps even healing.”
Thank you, Eva, for your courage — and for reminding us that light can emerge from even the darkest places.
