Joss tells Brenna that she witnessed Vaughan receiving a suspicious message. Vaughan accuses her of trying to undermine him to impress the chief. Jack tells him to empty his pocket. They praise Joss for passing her first test.
Carly knows that Jason doesn't trust Jack, but she hasn't felt this alive in a long time and needs him to respect her choice. Kristina cries out, acknowledging she did something wrong, but begs God not to let Molly's dad die. Ava goes to the compound yard and requests the car. After a mechanic examines it, he tells Ava that the brake lines were cut.
