It’s official — Days of our Lives and General Hospital favorite Greg Vaughan is joining the cast of the CBS daytime drama Beyond The Gates!

According to Parade, the Daytime Emmy winner has officially signed on to appear in the hit soap created by Michele Val Jean. The series, which continues to gain buzz for its bold storytelling and powerhouse cast, just added another fan-favorite to its roster.
Fans may remember that back in July, Val Jean teased the big casting scoop in an interview with Deadline, hinting, “Yes, we have a cast addition that I think the soap opera world will be very, very happy about. And it’s a male.” She even described the mystery newcomer as a “hot male.”
Then, in September, the executive producer kept the buzz alive when she told TV Insider, “There’s going to be another surprise down the road that soap fans will like.”
Over the weekend, that “surprise” appeared to be confirmed when fans spotted Vaughan in the background of a birthday bash video for Clifton Davis (Vernon Dupree) shared on Trisha Mann Grant’s (Leslie Thomas) Instagram. Eagle-eyed viewers immediately recognized the familiar face — and the fan excitement exploded from there.
So far, the role Vaughan will play remains under wraps. No details have been released about his character’s name or storyline. Still, reports suggest he will make his first appearance before the end of December, coinciding with the show’s milestone Episode 200.
For now, fans can only speculate — but one thing’s certain: Beyond The Gates just added serious star power.
