Mishael Morgan Producing Bold New Short Film 'Chopsticks'
Mishael Morgan is keeping busy and using her voice for meaningful storytelling. The Young and the Restless alum recently shared exciting news on social media: she’s signed on as a producer for a new short film titled Chopsticks.
“I’m thrilled to join the team as a producer on Chopsticks — a bold and intimate short film that starts at the dinner table and quickly reveals the deeper layers of identity, belonging, and connection,” she wrote.
According to Morgan, Chopsticks dives deep into the themes of unity, diversity, and the universal search for belonging, values that the actress says she’s incredibly passionate about.
“This is exactly the kind of storytelling I’m passionate about — the kind that teaches us about unity, celebrates diversity, and reminds us that we are more alike than we are different.”
The film is currently fundraising via Kickstarter, and Morgan has been encouraging fans to support the campaign through her bio and stories.

Known for her groundbreaking role as Amanda Sinclair on Y&R, Morgan became the first Black woman to win the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 2022. Now, she's bringing that same passion and purpose to the world of independent film.
