Brooke Logan Forrester has always been fiercely protective of her children. That's one of the qualities that has made her such an iconic The Bold and the Beautiful character over the years.
Opinion: Brooke Logan Needs to Stop Trying to "Rescue" Hope — Her Daughter Doesn't Need Saving
But at what point does protecting your daughter become refusing to let her grow up? After Hope Logan Spencer's stunning career triumph, Brooke seems determined to "save" her daughter from the House of Logan and steer her back toward Forrester Creations. The problem? Hope doesn't appear to need rescuing.
In fact, she's thriving.
For years, Hope lived under the Forrester umbrella, where she constantly found herself defending her place, her fashion line, and often her very existence. Whether it was battling Steffy, navigating Ridge's shifting loyalties, or trying to prove herself to skeptics, Forrester Creations has rarely been a comfortable home for Hope.
So why should she want to go back?
From Hope's perspective, the House of Logan represents something she's never truly had—creative freedom and the opportunity to build something on her own terms. Instead of returning to an environment where she's repeatedly been questioned and undermined, she's finally found a place where her voice matters. Yet Brooke keeps framing the situation as though Hope is making a terrible mistake.
Is Brooke really worried about Hope... or is she struggling with losing the version of life she envisioned for her daughter?
It also raises another interesting question about Brooke's family dynamics.
Has Brooke always viewed Katie as the quieter, less ambitious sister who never fully stepped out of the background? Katie has spent years proving she's capable, independent, and successful in her own right, yet Brooke often seems to slip back into the role of protective older sister.
Now she's doing something similar with Hope.
Despite Hope being a grown woman, a wife, a mother, and an accomplished businesswoman, Brooke still talks to her as if she's a young girl who simply doesn't understand what's best for herself. Hope isn't a teenager making impulsive decisions anymore. She's an adult making calculated choices about her own career and future.
One person who recognized that immediately was Liam Spencer.
His heartfelt speech to Hope may have been one of the episode's strongest moments:
"Hope, my love, you've gotta stop. You're thinking of everyone but yourself. You had a huge win today and you're actually letting yourself feel guilty about it because you're forgetting one thing—you deserve this. You've earned this, Hope Spencer."
Those weren't just comforting words. They were exactly what Hope needed to hear.
Instead of questioning her decision or asking her to sacrifice yet again for everyone else's happiness, Liam reminded Hope that success isn't something she should apologize for. He reminded her that she worked hard for this moment and deserves to celebrate it. Ironically, Liam showed more faith in Hope's judgment than her own mother has.
Perhaps it's time Brooke did the same. Being a supportive parent doesn't always mean stepping in to fix things. Sometimes it means trusting that you've raised someone strong enough to make their own decisions—even if those decisions aren't the ones you would make yourself. Hope doesn't need rescuing. She needs support. And maybe Brooke's next chapter isn't about saving her daughter; it's about finally recognizing that the little girl she once protected has become a woman capable of writing her own story.
