Carter (Lawrence Saint Victor) hears about Hope and Liam getting engaged, and he shares his thoughts with Daphne. Even though it might sting a bit, Carter stays upbeat and genuinely happy for Hope, accepting how things turned out. Daphne is impressed by Carter's maturity and wants to keep his focus on their budding relationship. The spark between Carter and Daphne just keeps getting stronger.
Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) becomes uneasy, fearing that Taylor (Rebecca Budig) is influencing Deacon (Sean Kanan) against her. Sheila expresses her concerns to Li (Naomi Matsuda) and plots to reestablish her connection with Deacon before it's too late. Meanwhile, Taylor meets with Deacon to discuss what transpired between them during their last "therapy session," which clearly crossed professional lines. Deacon claims their connection is real and not a mistake, but Taylor insists it cannot happen again.
