The actor, known for lighting up daytime television, is about to take on his most exciting role yet — dad! In a People Exclusive, Lucas and his wife, Shelby Wulfert, announced that they’re expecting their first child together. Their baby is due in February 2026, and the couple is keeping the sex of the baby a surprise for now.
The pair shared gorgeous maternity photos taken at the beach, where Shelby glowed in a beige two-piece outfit that proudly showcased her baby bump, while Lucas looked casual and relaxed in a crewneck sweater and jeans. The serene seaside setting perfectly captured the joy and anticipation of their next big chapter.
“This marks the beginning of starting to really build our family together and what that means for us,” Wulfert told People. “We want to have kids in a couple of years, so starting to prepare for that next chapter of being parents and the next chapter of the rest of our lives.”
