She’s walking around Port Charles vilifying Brook Lynn for leaving Curtis and Jordan after an accident—when Trina recently found Drew bleeding and decided to leave him there.
Now, let’s be honest: Who among us was actually upset about Drew being left behind? Most viewers were mad that Willow couldn’t complete the one useful task she was given and finish him off herself! Help was also already on the way for Drew, while Curtis and Jordan had no idea whether anyone was coming.
So no, the two situations aren’t exactly the same—but Trina’s hands still aren’t clean enough for all this self-righteous outrage.
Brook Lynn didn’t purposely run Curtis and Jordan off the road. Their own reckless behavior contributed to the accident, and if the other driver hadn’t blown the horn, the entire situation could have been much worse. Brook Lynn absolutely should have stopped, but Trina acting as though BLQ intentionally tried to kill her precious father is ridiculous.
And yes, Curtis is her biological father—but he has been her “father” for all of five minutes. Trina is suddenly treating him as though he’s been raising her since birth while Portia, Taggert and everyone else who actually did the work gets pushed aside.
Someone should also sit Trina down and tell her how much rule-breaking went into saving her when she was on trial. Sonny had a juror influenced. Portia violated her medical oath by bringing a man out of a coma to help her. Jordan helped Portia do it.
Yes, Trina was innocent and deserved to be cleared. That isn’t the point. The point is that Trina had powerful people willing to bend laws, professional ethics and the entire justice system for her. Plenty of innocent defendants don’t have that kind of privilege.
That whole family operates the same way: If breaking the rules benefits them, they can justify it. If somebody else screws up, they’re ready to grab the torches and pitchforks.
Brook Lynn needs to take responsibility for leaving Curtis and Jordan. Trina should also take responsibility for leaving Drew bleeding. Curtis and Jordan can admit that their behavior helped cause the accident. Portia and
Jordan can remember all the questionable things they’ve done to protect their own.
Everybody in this story needs to climb down from the moral high ground because none of them belongs up there.
