On August 20, DAYS officially announced that Malakeh is joining the cast, teasing her arrival with a video and the intriguing question, “Who is Sydney Malakeh? Find out September 9th.” Her first episode is scheduled to stream on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, but details surrounding her character are being kept firmly under wraps.

Who Is Sydney Malakeh?

Although Malakeh may be a newcomer to daytime television, viewers might recognize her from several primetime projects.

Her television credits include Grey’s Anatomy, where she appeared as Carrie, as well as Shrinking, On Call, Loot, and The Sex Lives of College Girls. Her résumé also includes television movies such as The Wrong Stepfather, Cheer Camp Killer, and Her Deadly Boyfriend.

Malakeh is reportedly a native of Wilmington, Delaware. She moved to California in 2019 and began working professionally in acting shortly afterward.

Who Will She Play on DAYS?

Sydney DiMera is the daughter of Sami Brady and EJ DiMera, making her a character with major connections to two of Salem's most prominent families. The speculation is strictly a fan theory at this point, and DAYS has not confirmed that Malakeh is playing Sydney DiMera.
