Billy Abbott has always wanted one thing from Jill Abbott: her faith.

Not her money. Not Chancellor. She believed that he could succeed.

When Billy finally asked, "Why am I never good enough?" it wasn't really about the company. It was about years of feeling like he could never live up to his mother's expectations. Jill's answer was honest. She told Billy he has vision, passion, and ambition, but she also believes he's too impulsive to lead Chancellor. From her perspective, she's protecting Katherine Chancellor's legacy by putting someone she believes is more dependable in charge.

But Billy's frustration is understandable. He's watched Cane make plenty of mistakes over the years, yet Jill still trusts him with the company Billy has always wanted to lead. To Billy, it feels like the rules have always been different for him.

Ironically, Billy also revealed that his priorities have changed. He's engaged to Sally Spectra, they're expecting a baby, and he insists his family comes first. Yet moments later, he was once again arguing about Chancellor.

Maybe Jill's criticism hit closer to home than Billy wanted to admit.

So who's right? Has Jill unfairly underestimated Billy for years, creating the very insecurities that continue to haunt him? Or has Billy repeatedly proven that his emotions still get the better of him when it matters most? One thing is certain: this wasn't just another family argument. It was years of disappointment, resentment, and unresolved emotions finally bubbling to the surface.
