Now operating as Spectra-Charles under Sally Spectra and Audra Charles, the media company has become the latest prize Victor refuses to let slip away. While Adam Newman and Chelsea Lawson are trying to convince Victor to abandon the idea of reclaiming the company and instead support a brand-new media venture, Victor has never been known for walking away from something he believes belongs to him.
If persuasion won't work, could Victor turn to blackmail instead?
One possible weapon may already exist in Audra and Holden Novak's shared past.
The pair have been carrying a dangerous secret from their time in Los Angeles. Holden once defended Audra after she was confronted by a man over a stolen check. During the altercation, the man fell, struck his head, and appeared to die. Rather than report what happened, Audra and Holden allegedly covered up the incident and left the past buried.
That secret could become invaluable if Victor learns about it.
Victor has built his empire by gathering information and using it to his advantage. If he uncovers what happened in Los Angeles, he could present Audra with an impossible choice: hand over Spectra-Charles or risk watching her past become public.
Such a revelation would put Sally in an equally difficult position. Sally has fought hard to build the company into something successful and has repeatedly warned Adam and Chelsea that Victor always gets what he wants. If Victor suddenly has leverage over Audra, Sally may discover that business strategy is no match for a deeply buried secret.
The fallout wouldn't stop there. Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) would likely be dragged back into the story, forcing him to relive the incident he thought was long behind him. Depending on the circumstances surrounding the accident, the legal and personal consequences could be enormous.
Victor has never shied away from exploiting someone's vulnerabilities when there's a business victory at stake. If reclaiming Newman Media is his ultimate goal, exposing Audra and Holden's darkest secret could become the move that finally forces Spectra-Charles to surrender.
Whether Victor actually crosses that line remains to be seen, but if he uncovers the truth, Audra and Sally may find themselves fighting a battle they never saw coming.
