Sydney Malakeh’s Mystery Days of Our Lives Role Revealed; Franco Lo Presti Also Joins Cast
As previously reported, DAYS cast Malakeh in an undisclosed role last month. On September 2, Deadline confirmed that the actress will portray Sydney DiMera, the daughter of EJ DiMera and Sami Brady.
Malakeh will make her debut on Wednesday, September 9, bringing another member of the DiMera family back to Salem. Sydney’s arrival could create plenty of drama, especially given her complicated family history and her parents’ famously turbulent relationship.
Malakeh’s television credits include Grey’s Anatomy, where she appeared as Carrie, as well as roles in Shrinking, On Call, Loot, and The Sex Lives of College Girls. Her résumé also includes the television movies The Wrong Stepfather, Cheer Camp Killer, and Her Deadly Boyfriend.
Sydney Malakeh isn’t the only newcomer headed to Salem. Deadline also reports that Franco Lo Presti has joined the cast as Dante, a character with connections to the notorious Vitali crime family.
Lo Presti will make his Days of Our Lives debut on Monday, September 14. While additional details about Dante remain under wraps, his ties to the Vitalis suggest that danger, secrets, and organized-crime drama could soon be coming to Salem.
