Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is done watching his son avoid the reality of his situation. Determined to help Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) get back on track, Victor takes a firm stance and pushes him to confront the addiction issues that have been affecting his life. While Nick may not appreciate Victor's tough-love approach, Victor believes it's time for his son to stop running from his problems and focus fully on recovery.

Elsewhere, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) continues to wrestle with doubts about Matt Clark (Roger Howarth). Following the recent breakthrough in his memory recovery, Matt appears calmer and more remorseful than ever before.
